Theophelia, my newest partner, designs and sells handmade jewelry from her store in Kumasi, Ghana. She uses Krobo beads and brass accents in her one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Her earrings, adorned with Adinkra brass symbols, are made from seed beads.
Adinkra Symbol: Duafe (Wooden Comb) is a symbol of feminine consideration or good qualities such as patience, prudence, fondness, love, and care.
African glass beads from Ghana are often referred to as Krobo beads since they are primarily produced in the Krobo mountains located in the eastern region of southeastern Ghana. Krobo beads are made from recycled glass which is broken into tiny fragments and molded into beautiful beads. The glass is layered to create colorful patterns and designs.
All jewelry is inspected for damage before shipping. Please note that we cannot ship orders to a P.O. Box. We can only ship orders to a home or business address.
